Fall Flower Frenzy - Better Late than Never....

Sorry for the delay in posting these samples. Here are a few of the items made by participants of this past Tuesday's Fall Flower Frenzy class. This was a great way to show off not only the new Flower Fusion Too kit, but also the new In-Colors and some of the Designer Series Paper.

Don't miss out on the next stamping class. See the schedule on my Stampin' Up! web site. (http://www.debrareeder.stampinup.net/) Be sure to register early to join in on the fun!

Quick Note...

Unfortunately, I am feeling a bit "icky" today. So, since I stayed home, I decided I would do a little "pick me up" between the ick!

The Bella Rose DSP from Stampin' Up! is a good pick-me-up anytime. I used the dry emboss technique with my Classy Brass Template - Floral Frenzy and the stamp is from a new hostess set titled Best Yet. Contact me to host your Stamping Workshop to earn this or other fabulous hostess merchandise.

Wow...what a week!

I know it's been several days since I've posted...sorry for the delay. It's been a crazy week for me both professionally and personally.

On Tuesday, I held my September Technique & Tool Tuesday class and had my "regular bunch" in attendance. The six (6) of us enjoyed a fun evening of making folded cards. I got some directions from various places and come up with some really fun ideas! We made a "gate" fold card, "tri-fold" card with a window and a "criss-cross" fold card. We used some of the new Designer Series Paper that Stampin' Up! came out with in the new catalog and let me tell you, they are just so stinking cute! I think I actually just love them all. It so hard to pick a favorite when there is so much to choose from.

OH...and my first customer to purchase the new BIG SHOT (remember Stampin' Up! now has a partnership with Sizzix and we sell these) received hers on Tuesday. So she called on Wednesday to tell me she was playing and needed me to walk her through some of the instructions! I love it when someone remembers I'm here for them any time, not just to place orders. So, we spent some time on the phone going over all the little things to remember when using this awesome new TOOL! I can not wait until more customers have an opportunity to order this great item! I think when we have a few, we'll start up a club and get together to use these wonderful tools. It will be great to work as a group and come up with neat ideas and more ways to use them!

Have a great weekend!

Demonstrator Stamp Camp

Wow...what a fun day! My upline, Lori and I went to Michigan Friday evening for our Fall Saturday Demonstrator Stamp Camp. We had a great time, although there was way too much rain.

The day started out by those who attended convention sharing information from the classes we attended with the rest of the group. Yes, I did a presentation...ctually, I did two of them!

After lunch we got to complete our make-n-take items. You see a few of the "boxes & bags" that we prepared using the Holiday Treasures DSP (pg 170). Next, we maded a stack of cards using the Roof Garden accents & elements (pg 182). You never know when you might see a class on my calendar featuring some of these items. Stay tuned to my web site events calendar.

Oh what fun....

The big brown truck come to our house yesterday and brought me some fun new product! I received my "pre-order" items from the new holiday mini catalog that starts on October 1. You'll just love these new items.

I used the new "Little Felt Flurries" for this card. They come in three (3) colors and three (3) sizes. The colors include Whisper White, Riding Hood Red and Baja Beeze! There are 69 pieces in the package for only $13.95. When you break it down including shipping and tax, it's only $.24 each!!! What a deal on these embelishments.

Holiday Table Decorations

The question has been asked by two (2) of my customers, just exactly what I mean by "with your holiday table decorating in mind". Well, just as the class title indicates, we will be making items to decorate your table for the holidays. You will be able to recreate these decorations for the number of guests you will have at your holiday meal. OR...as another customer mentioned, she is going to use these items specifically for her holiday decorating, not just the meal. We will make a place card, coaster, napkin ring, invitation or thank you and a gift/treat box. There are many possibilities of other items you could add to the list when you are stamping or paper crafting!

Quick Sample

Here's a gift bag idea that we received at convention in August. The bag is made using 2 - 12"x12" sheets of Designer Series Paper (this one is retired). Then, the tag is made using the coluzzle cutting system, classy brass pick a petal template, ginormus flowers stamp set, crop-a-dile and several circle punches. I also chalked the edges of the tag to make it stand out from the bag. Hope you like it!

Back Home Again in Indiana

I arrived back home last evening from my trip to Tennessee for a weekend of friends and fun. Thanks all...it was a very nice weekend.

Now, I have one more day off work (my full-time day job) and will be working on my stamping. I have a project to complete for our Demo Stamp Camp this weekend in Zeeland, Michigan and need to spice up the presentation I will be doing, "From Hobby to Business". I'll be sharing some of the tips learned at convention with those demonstrators who were unable to attend.

Look back soon, as I hope to be able to post some of my work/play from today!
