More Leaves...

Here are two (2) more of the cards that I made for the display at the Klompenstampers Spring Meeting. I hope you all enjoy them!

Leaves in the Spring

I was having so much fun with the display cards using the A Rose is a Rose set, that I volunteered to complete five (5) cards using a different set. This time it is a new set from the Spring Idea Book & Catalog, Lexicon of Leaves on page 101!

I used the Encore Gold stamp for the leaves and "thanks" at the bottom, as well as the brushed gold card stock in the background. It's a bit hard to see in the photo. The layout was inspired by my Aunti Anna, who made a similar wall hanging last fall when she was over stamping with me. Thanks for looking!

Bella Rose - Striped Card

Hello my fellow stampers & paper crafters! I've been working on another of my "Rose" display cards for the April Seminar. I hope you like this one. I used one of my favorite designer series papers - Bella Rose, along with the "A Rose is a Rose" stamp set.

Again, using the 2-step Stampin' technique and also some sponging. I decided the whisper white layer was just a bit to bright. So, I used my pink pirouette and a sponge to soften the look. You should be able to see the shadow of pink around the edges. Just two (2) more Rose cards to go!

Anniversary Rose - Square Card

Here's another of the cards I'm making to send for the seminar display series. I went a little off my normal routine and made a square card. It really worked well with the circles made with the new SU Circle Scissor Plus available in the new catalog. It makes using circles so much easier.

I used the SU Backgrounds 1 Texturz plates for the big shot! I hope you can see them in the picture. It really added a nice touch with the flowers and leaves to go with the minuature roses and bud. And...this uses the 2-step stampin' technique again! These sets just really stand out for me.

A Rose For You

I have chosen to participate in a "Share your Stampin' Talent" display of projects for the KlompenStampers Spring Seminar. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to attend this wonderful seminar, hosted by Jackie Bolhuis in Zeeland, MI. But at least I have the opportunity to share some of my work. Watch my blog over the next 2 weeks, as I will be sharing my other creations. I have to submit five (5) different items.

I chose the stamp set "A Rose is a Rose", which is one of my all-time favorites from Stampin' Up! I sure hope this set stays around for a long time. It's a 2-step Stampin' set, which I love too. I also used the Big Shot with the new Oval Scallop Frame. You never know...you might see this show up in one of my classes. The oval scallop frame die will be used in an upcoming BIG SHOT CLASS in April....watch for details!
